Ten Years From Now
I have skirted around the subject that is on all our
minds! 2020 and all the year
represents. However, today I write about
my prediction (for me) for ten years from now.
As a way to say, this year is no different than any other year when
there have been challenges. At least,
for me. I can look back and see other
years that were worse for me.
Wearing a mask, isolating, having groceries delivered, and
even little or no contact with my family (which is the worst) have not been the
challenges I faced before. I bet that
most of you have had a worse time in your life than in 2020. That is if you analyze what actual horrible
years are. There are far worse things
than wearing a mask, toilet paper shortages, and isolation.
So, I challenge you to feel gratitude for what you have now
and project what you will have experienced and accomplished in 10 years. Then make better choices for your attitude
about your life right now in 2020.
I see wearing a mask, isolating, little or no contact with
family as a way for me to reach that goal of “In Ten Years.” Live your
remaining year of 2020 with grace and love and new hope for the next ten years.
Rejoice in accomplishments, create innovative ways to communicate with loved
ones, and bring your light into the world for others to see.
Twenty-Thirty
In ten years:
I will be 80.
I will have learned so much more.
I will have had ten years more joy.
I will have rejoiced in all the accomplishments.
I will have cheered for all the critical milestones.
I will have forged through
more downs, but even more ups.
I will look back at 2020 and smile,
and say:
You did it with love and grace!.
