Spring Cleaning
I have been cleaning my computer, not my house. Deleting, moving, and re-visiting older poems and tidbits of life. No commentary today, only three poems, heartfelt when written, but forgotten because they were saved in the wrong place!
Cleaning House
As I cleanse my heart,
I open my soul for more.
As I cleanse my mind,
I open my life to receive.
As I cleanse, as I pray,
I am ready for the Divine.
I am grateful
And ready for the grace of God.
Hello Stranger
I am learning to welcome,
the stranger.
Who knocks on my door daily,
and I
slam the door
harder
each time.
I take a deep breath,
and say,
“Come on in”.
I know I will face
the lows and darkness
within me.
I take another breath,
and show
this stranger
hospitality,
love, and grace.
As God does.
Holy Connections
I see Holiness
in excited brown eyes
enticing me to play.
I see Holiness
in a child who
struggles with his words.
I see Holiness
in plants growing and plants dying.
I see Holiness
in warm socks and purple pens.
I see Holiness
in me, in you, each breath,
each hug, each weathered and worn heart.
The Holy Connections
All created by God.
