Some Days I Must Keep Looking for God’s Good

An On-Going Transformation

First, let me say that my poem, my “so-called words of wisdom” are because a very wise and God loving woman brought a message to our church that has resonated with me all these days later.  Rev Mary Anne Harris can be seen giving this message at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZOCI4QpOS4.

When Rev Mary Anne said, “In back of all things there is good”, I felt something rise up inside and give me this sensation in my heart.  (Not heartburn, believe me!).  Then she says, “God’s definition of good.”  Then, on the following Saturday I watched “The Shack” with church family and the message was there again.  I am not the judge, period.  If I pay attention to the log in my own eye and work on getting rid of it (it’s an on-going process), then I won’t have time to see the little speck in my brother or sister’s eye.

My Journey of Transformation

My transformation,

Changes and merges,

 Daily, hourly, minute to minute.

Each new path shows me

My darkness and my light.

As I falter and I fall,

I can no longer see the light or the good.

I am challenged to find,

The good, the light,

In all things.

I trust and I believe,

That with each new difficulty and uncertainly,

I will begin to see,

God’s definition of good.
